“Pillikud, with its deep Estonian roots, makes you dance and sing and hum the played melodies for days..”

Nowadays people tend to forget about their roots and traditions, the group Pillikud tries to give people new connection to folk music.
Musicians in the group Pillikud are all connected to folk and traditional music from very young age. Theres still memories of Robert playing percussion instruments in Portugal when he was 5 years old and Martti singing beautiful melodies when he was around 10.
In recent years they've taken their love towards folk music and made it their own, by writing new lyrics, melodies or arrangements. While writing new ideas they keep the Estonian folk techniques and always something what is already made and have been played or sang for decades.

Their vision is to give people an idea, that folk music is not only something what your grandfather plays next to bonfire. Folk music can be performed with different instruments, amazing arrangements and with mind blowing solos.
